Elaine Luo graduated *magna cum laude* from University of California, Irvine in Fall 2018, earning a B.A. in Education Sciences, with specializations in *Research and Evaluation*. Elaine is currently pursuing an Ed.M. degree in Human Development and Psychology at Harvard Graduate School of Education. During her undergraduate studies, Elaine’s research focused on afterschool program quality and adolescents’ academic performances. Broadly, her research interests focus on understanding how educational settings, such as school and afterschool programs, can be optimized to cultivate youth’s strengths and promote positive youth development. Specifically, during her studies in HGSE, her interests include studying how effective intervention programs help adolescents develop positive ethnic and racial identity and further promote positive youth development.
