We are the Identity Project Netherlands team at Erasmus University Rotterdam, collaborating with the Verwey-Jonker Institute in Utrecht. This initiative is funded by Platform Inclusion & Community ([Kennisplatform Inclusief Samenleven](https://www.kis.nl/about-us)). Our team includes Mehmet Day, Mariam Badou, Donya Yassine, and Ruth Yohannes.

Currently, we are developing a training program to empower educators in nurturing students’ ethnic, racial, and cultural identities within the classroom. This work is guided by an expert advisory group from the education sector, who provide critical insights and feedback throughout the process.

After piloting the program with schools across the Netherlands, we are now conducting a study to evaluate its effectiveness. Our focus is on understanding the program’s impact on students’ identity development and their sense of school belonging.
